Black plastisol gel paint for clothes and textiles by GRAFMETAL is great for decorating clothes. The paint is characterized by high flexibility and colour intensity.
The offer is for a 100 ml package of gel paint, which is mainly intended for screen printing and stencils, poorly suitable for hand application.
The paint can be used for laser printing on clothing. You will find information on how to do this in the further part of this offer.

The paint is in gel form, which opens up new applications for the user, such as printing through adhesive stencils and screen printing thick layers of paint.

After application and curing, the paint is very flexible and resistant to machine washing. After application, the paint should be heat cured at 130-170°C using a heat gun or iron. When using an iron, place baking paper between the paint on the fabric and the iron.

Application of gel paint has been tested with various techniques, obtaining thick and flexible prints with them. When using fine meshes (up to 100T), precise prints can be achieved on garments.

In addition to the basic ink application technique of screen printing, one can find several convenient methods listed below by which lasers can be used for printing on clothing.

The simplest technique is to cut out pieces of adhesive paper or foil on a laser or cutting plotter to form stencils, then stick them to the fabric and paint the design with a brush or spatula.

The gel form of the paint will ensure that when you peel off the stencil, the paint will not flow on the fabric. Depending on the material of the stencil and its pattern complexity, you may consider using it multiple times.

Another method is screen printing on metal mesh. We construct a frame and glue a stainless steel mesh of the chosen mesh (recommended dimensions from about 30T to 100T) to it. We paint the stainless mesh with a varnish for metal meshes available in GRAFMETAL product offer and then engrave the design with a laser. Alternatively, you can stick vinyl film on the mesh and cut or engrave the design into it.

Another method is to cut a vinyl film on a laser or a plotter and glue it to a standard polymer screen mesh. To ensure proper bonding one may consider using an iron to make the foil adhere to the plastic mesh.

This way, it is possible to obtain thick and aesthetically looking layers of paint on fabrics, which in appearance will resemble patterns obtained from heat transfer films (such as flex).

How to cure gel paint?
1. Apply the paint to the fabric.
2. After application, the paint should be heat cured at 130-170°C using a heat gun or iron. When using an iron, place baking paper between the paint on the fabric and the iron.
3. After cooling, the product is ready for use. Wash after turning inside out.
