Metal marking with a diode laser

Marking of metals with low power diode lasers has been a challenge for a long time. In case of high power diode lasers, with power reaching even up to 40 W, one can obtain a marking effect on a few types of steel directly or by using non typical media, like a mustard. Nevertheless the effect cannot be achieved on most metals, and even on steel it is usually not satisfactory.

Now, one can get help from a new GRAFMETAL product, Fluid for marking metals with diode lasers. This fluid works in a similar way as products for CO2 lasers, but a small power of diode laser is sufficient for its activation. Using the product is based on application thereof to the metal surface, waiting for drying and irradiating it with laser.
